September was Childhood Cancer Awareness month and although our mission is to spread awareness and help children and families facing this terrible disease every day of the year, this month is always special. We spent a night at the ballpark for The Showers Family Center for Childhood Cancer and Blood Disorders Celebration. This is an annual tradition that features activities for the patients, an on-field parade, and tables throughout with organizations that help families facing cancer.
Representatives from our Foundation set up a table with giveaway items and information about our Gift of Time Together program. The superhero capes and candy were a big hit and we enjoyed meeting the wonderful families!
