The CarsonStrong Foundation is a 501(c)(3) organization that enhances the quality of life for children facing cancer and other life challenges by funding programs that provide therapeutic, medical, and educational opportunities.
The Higgins family founded the CarsonStrong Foundation in 2017, one year after losing their son and brother to cancer. Carson Higgins was first diagnosed with Stage 4 neuroblastoma at the age of three. After taking part in an experimental protocol at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Carson miraculously exhibited no signs of cancer. On Thanksgiving 2015, the cancer returned. This time, it was terminal. Carson passed away with his family, on their Trip Of A Lifetime, in 2016 at the age of 12.
Carson faced adversity with peace and grace. In his short life, he inspired so many to be kind and generous, regardless of the circumstances. He was always “paying it forward”, and it is in this spirit that CarsonStrong was formed.
Through CarsonStrong, the Higgins family and CarsonStrong donors help families with children facing pediatric cancer and other life challenges. They seek to bring comfort and hope to families who are facing the unimaginable, just as family, friends and community members supported the Higgins family in their time of need.
The CarsonStrong Foundation relies on individual and corporate donations to pay it forward.
With your help, we can bring hope to other families facing difficult and sometimes devastating life challenges. Together, we are #CarsonStrong.
