Carson Higgins Memorial Foundation co-founders John and Debbie Higgins will speak on the topic “Why Not Me?” at Walsh Jesuit Mothers’ Club’s Annual Spring Brunch, Sunday, March 6, 2022, at 10 a.m. in Cuyahoga Falls.
Several months before Carson was diagnosed with neuroblastoma, the Higgins family attended a church service in which the minister spoke about accepting the challenges that occur in your life in the light of Why Not Me? This perspective helped the family through Carson’s journey with cancer, his relapse, and his passing. It also inspired them to “pay it forward” and start the Carson Higgins Memorial Foundation to help other children and families facing cancer and other potentially devastating illnesses.
