Our Night of Hope Gala on Friday, April 14, at The Galaxy in Wadsworth was filled with excitement, good food, great entertainment, and most of all… hope. Our host Tommy Bruno helped kick off the evening of powerful stories, testimonies, and fundraising fun. We later danced the night away to live music by Fire on Fire.
Two-hundred guests walked the gold carpet at the event, and many more gave their support from afar. The evening raised $80,000 for our newest initiative, The Gift of Time Together, which provides families facing cancer with an experience away from home, complete with lodging, gift cards for transportation, meals, special events, spending money, and a gift basket.
“We are so very grateful for the amazing support from the attendees, our sponsors, and those who made donations even though they could not be there in person. As a result of their generosity, we will be able to provide 25 families with a memory-making get-away,” said Debbie Higgins, CarsonStrong co-founder and CEO. “We are excited about the response to The Gift of Time Together. We know first-hand how meaningful a trip away can be for a family facing cancer.”
Numerous families are scheduled to participate in the experience over the next six months.
