Gift of Time Together Family Spotlight: Eaton Family

Our first Gift of Time Family has gone on their experience and their story exemplifies why we launched this program.

Sam Eaton was a 16-year-old boy who relapsed with cancer earlier this year. He was given little time and hope, so when we heard Sam’s story, we knew they’d be the best family for our first Gift of Time Together experience.

The family wanted to go to Panama City Beach, Florida one last time to spend precious time together. Sam and his family got to spend a week in the sun thanks to our generous partners that helped provide a beautiful Airbnb, a motorized beach wheelchair donation, and a family photo session.

Shortly after returning from their trip, Sam passed away. His mother later wrote to us saying “thank you for the gift of time. He waited for the trip and then knew it was time to leave and be with God.”

This poignant story could not have been possible without the support each of our donors has provided. We are honored to continue this initiative and give many more families the Gift of Time Together.

Stewart’s Caring Place Hope Walk 2023

Stewart’s Caring Place’s 17th annual Hope Walk took place on May 6. This 2-mile walk is a family-friendly event to celebrate community, friendship, and courage. The CarsonStrong Foundation was honored to participate as an inspiration sponsor, allowing us to showcase the foundation and handout superhero capes to some of the kids in attendance!
