Carson Higgins Memorial Scholarship
Honoring Kindness, Resilience, and Service
Created in memory of Carson Higgins, this scholarship celebrates graduating high school seniors from Akron, Cleveland, and surrounding local communities who demonstrate the same kindness, perseverance, and community spirit that defined Carson’s life.
Each year, the CarsonStrong Foundation awards scholarships to local students who lead with heart, serve others, and show resilience in the face of challenges. These students carry forward the light that Carson brought to everyone he met — through compassion, service, and strength of character.
Our Partnership with Stewart’s Caring Place
CarsonStrong is proud to support Stewart’s Caring Place, a local cancer wellness center offering free programs and services to individuals and families on their cancer journey.
Together, we’ve created Carson’s Corner, a dedicated space in Stewart’s library that celebrates Carson’s love of reading and giving back.
Our ongoing literacy initiatives at Stewart’s include:
- Carson’s Corner Library: A curated collection of books available for all ages, offering comfort, inspiration, and distraction during difficult times.
- Annual Book Drive: Each year, we collect and donate hundreds of new books to help replenish the shelves and provide reading materials for Stewart’s participants.
- Adult Book Club Support: CarsonStrong proudly sponsors Stewart’s Caring Place’s adult book club, promoting connection, healing, and conversation through literature.
At Stewart’s Caring Place, individuals and families touched by cancer can find education, emotional support, and community — all free of charge.
