Carson Higgins Memorial Scholarship Spotlight: Bella Pignataro

The Carson Higgins Memorial Scholarship recognizes Revere Local Schools graduates for their demonstration of character. Learn more about Bella Pignataro, one of the 2021 scholarship winners.

Bella Pignataro was in middle school when she first used her personal health struggles and hardships to put herself in someone else’s shoes. From that experience she learned the values of empathy, compassion, faith and courage.

“I am honored to receive the Carson Higgins Memorial Scholarship,” Bella said. “I will continue to live my life with values that reflect Carson and his legacy.”

She loves to learn as much as she can. In high school, Isabella shared her love of knowledge with other students as a tutor, and in leading the Bath Elementary Girl’s STEM Club during her senior year. Additionally, she was the first female to achieve a spot as a freshman on the snare line of Revere High School’s marching band.

Bella has committed to Harvard’s Class of 2025 where she will study neuroscience.
